I have been out of work for 3 months now and yesterday had to go to the job centre to sign on, not only that but I had a work focus interview.
When I got there and saw them they went through my job searches, I now use their website to keep track instead of filling out the little book, I was told by him that I wasn't doing enough to look for a job. He even said that my money would be stopped if I didn't do more to find work. I go on there website everyday and other job sites (Indeed, Fish4jobs etc) and fill in my activity every single time. I was fuming with what he said but didn't say anything because they have a habit of calling the police if you get to angry with them, seen it happen before. Would they be able to just stop my money like that? I can't do anymore than I am doing and I am following all their rules about looking for work.
The other thing I wasn't happy about was the interview I had yesterday. It was supposed to last 30 minutes and I was out within 5. I want to go back to driving buses because I used to enjoy that but I need a CPC card, driver qualification card. Most places won't take you on without one so I have asked them about it at the job centre for training for it and they flatly refused to fund it, costs roughly £250-300. Surely this amount is minimal for the government and would help me get back to work.
Not a happy bunny today.

The JCP does not tend to give funding for the CPC card any longer. You may get help if you self referred to the Work Programme, which may be more hassle than it is worth.
What exactly are you doing to find work? How many applications are you making?0 -
Yeah stopping JSA can happen easily enough for anything each advisor is different from what I can make of it, even I forgot to keep my cool with them yesterday, the only thing that stopped them terminating my appointment because (their big only when they want to be) was the job searching I've done, now if only sanctions were handed out to time wasting employers - oh no the Jobcentre don't have that power funnily enough so they relish hitting people over the head
Sickened to learn if you go dress smart, it's some sort of indication you don't need any help! absolutely gobsmacked, I've done with it
I don't need to be told I'm the only one getting interviews & that even the big shot professionals who no doubt are also bullied are struggling by some aggressive little man, I think they are hard with everyone, wanted to laugh and cry
These funds seem discretionary - perhaps they'll change their mind if you apply to go on that programme - Saints & Scroungers
Last post on the JC Plus because I'm so angry - they don't even understand there ads with the likes of Thomas Reilly, Que and MF Solutions are shams - saw people being hit over the head, what more can we expect0
