Hi there, I am registered self employed but not registered to charge vat. I have been making inquiries to open an account with a supplier and they have asked me for a VAT enceinte certificate.

Nope, still no idea. Try asking the supplier to be clear what they want?0

At a guess its a typo and they mean a VAT Registration Certificate to which you'd reply you dont have one as you arent VAT registered.
Because it takes nothing to become a sole trader, just fill in one online form, some B2B only companies will not accept sole traders unless they are VAT registered to test that they are a "real" business.0 -
Ah ok. Thanks guys. Will go back to them, just didn't want to go back saying what is that, or they may have thought I was a fool who knew nothing!
