I've a friend who took one out to do a full-time Masters degree (not sure which bank) and in my opinion they're risky.
You have to make repayments within a couple of months of finishing your studies, regardless of whether you have a job. Probably be ok-ish for part-time/evening students who are in a secure job but not for anyone going into full-time education, considering the current job market. If it's a loan to improve your qualifications for your current job/career, worth waiting for your appraisal and then asking your employer if they'll pay - explaining how it'll benefit the company as well as you.0
