Hi
I have had to stop work for a while due to mental health and I have two pensions. One is a personal private one and one is where I worked until recently.
I don't get much on disability and I'm not sure what to do with them. I have told the personal one I'm not working but they said they will still deduct a fee. The ex work one have said I can continue with them is I pay at least £20 a month.
I don't know when or if I will be back to work so is it best to freeze both or join them together. I have no idea . Would appreciate any advice

These charges are probably just fees for managing the pension and the funds they are invested in. No one will manage this for nothing so you need to check what you are paying if it's reasonable for what you are invested in. The work one sounds as though they want you to continue paying into it, but you should be able to transfer out in any case, also these sound like defined contribution schemes so you need to confirm this or whether they are final salary.
If you post the approximate value of the pensions and the fees you are being charged you should get some opinion as to whether you are getting good value or not.0
