Should I complain about Lloyds/C&G

My partner and I have taken further borrowing on our mortgage. It was arranged over the phone with a Lloyd's mortgage advisor, we were informed of the interest rate and monthly repayments which we were happy with and just had to go into branch to sign the forms. When we went into sign the forms, foolishly, we did not checked them and have subsequently found out that we are not on the product we were promised. Although very annoyed that we didn't get the product we expected, I assumed there was nothing we could do as we had signed the forms without reading them.

The mortgage manager for the area rang me to ask for feedback on his advisor and I told him what had happened, he was most apologetic and said he would investigate, which he has done and has agreed we have been put on a different product to the one that we had discussed. He has put in writing that he will revert our mortgage to the correct product and reimburse all overpayments on the interest, but what is worrying me is that we are now heading towards our third monthly payment on the higher rate and I still have not heard back from him.

What should I do, just hold tight or escalate the matter? Any advice would be gratefully received.

If more than a few days has passed somebody's either forgotten or failed to act.

If you do nothing, nothing is what will happen.

It's two months since I had first contact with the area manager and two weeks since he confirmed in writing that he would rectify the situation.

After two weeks it'd be reasonable to ask what's happening.

If they don't get it sorted in another week or so, then's the time to start complaining.

Incidentally, they should back date the correction to the time of the further advance, so you should get a refund of the overpayments you've made.
