  • as a mum of 3 I can sympathise with the emotions! good luck with the birth and I hope you have a really big win soon. x
  • Hey Stacey (soon to be Stacey3kids)

Congrats on your impending bundle of joy - I hope everything goes well for you.

I had a win today - in value terms it was under £50 so not a typical 'big' win but it means a day out with my kids and a real boost to me after having a really miserable month so far (lots of medical nonsense).

I'm delighted with any win big or small - sometimes the 'worst' wins are the best. You should see me in my Frosty Jack Onesie, Fast & Furious Cap and Spam Flip Flops - I am one lucky guy!

  • thats it any win is amazing ive won 2 perfume sets this month and i was so chuffed i try lots for toys and money too u never know x i bet that looks lovely jamie :)
  • I think it's a shame when people list a win negatively i.e. only won a.......which could be a signed item for example. If I am not excited about a prize I haven't entered the competition - that signed football (for example) could make someone over the moon if they are a big fan.

I have had a really good run the last few weeks and whilst its great i also dont like it as you kind of start expecting to win.

I also feel i have to throw the promotor a bone and be all excited in my email/phonecall reply! i dont know why either :D
would love to win an ipad!

I agree some of the most well known compers of all virtually never post iwiw, however that being said i believe some of them pm the poster, as i do occasionally.

And ive won things i couldnt actually use or give away to friends/family so even though its technically against the rules i have given things away on here, so in a way it makes you a winner twice, when you also make someone elses day.
(that reminds i have a ferry crossing i won but cant use it but i still havent sent it to one of our members (if youre reading this its on its way x), better get that posted)
Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

I totally agree, i have won one prize in twelve months and i am entering 100+ a day, i am very grateful as it was a lovely prize and something i will use.

People who are ungrateful, really bug me :(

Anyway, good luck with the birth and sending you lots of luck too :) xx

I prefer the smaller prizes, I have had a big win that I was totally over the moon with. But the smaller prizes are usually things that I was going to buy anyway, so they really do help a lot. I've had any amazing couple of weeks/months and that appears to have stopped. Yesterday I had a gorgeous hand puppet childrens book, I was thrilled when it arrived as I know my son will go nuts for it. If you asked me about my favourite win, it would probably be the lego set, it's something that is on my sons Christmas list and I'm so excited to have won it for him, I can't wait for Christmas Day now.

    Be lucky everyone :)
    Started comping again Sept 2013
    Best wins: Currys wishlist, 3 Laptop's, a PS4 and an Espresso machine • fridge freezer • £100 M&S vouchers
46 wins totalling approx £3000 since September 2013
.•* Thank you to everyone that posts competitions*•.

I think the only thing I don't get excited about is promotional stuff. The sort of stuff that is worth a pound or two and is basically advertising merchandise for the company. I often just wonder whether it was really worth the postage costs etc. They're not really a 'prize' are they?

Anyway, best wishes with the impending birth :)
Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!
  • things that are like money off £1 or silly like that i dont bother much with but i mean the big ones like over £1000 or tvs and ipads and all sorts people just say cheers where as i would be like wooooooooooooooooow haha we are all different i just think people need to realise how amazing a big win is x
