Turkey for after Christmas

We can't all get together on Christmas Day (rarely do) and I have everyone round a few days later for a Christmas dinner, present opening etc. Last year I thought I would leave the food till after Christmas thinking I would get some bargains but it didn't work out like that as there was nothing left and I ended up with what I could cobble together. I want to be prepared this year but not sure how/when to order a turkey for. We have very little freezer space so I would need to keep it fresh/defrosting till 29th December.
I am thinking about ordering online, e.g. Donald Russell using Topcashback or something to keep costs down. Or, if I order to collect from a local farm/shop, pick it up on the 24th, would it keep in, e.g. an outbuilding, till the 29th?
