    any in london ?
  • Hi Biglugs - the answer is in the title - Yes everythings a pound - my saturday morning shopping trip is not complete without a trip to Poundland - yes the quality may be hit & miss sometimes but on the whole it is still excellent value most of the time - by the way just thought I would let you know they have dollar shops in the USA and euro shops in most of Europe so even when your travelling you can still pick up a bargain.

Hi there is one is Stratford shopping centre, one in Walthamstow and one in Ilford that I know of. The one in Walthamstow is usually the best of these. If you go to Walthamstow or Ilford it is also worth checking out the 99p store.
    Hope that helps:D

I think Biglugs was joking. It is the standard question for every poundland thread.

Someone falls for it every time - sorry :)
Anyone ever seen the movie "Purely Belter"?? The bit where they are talking about going shoplifting in Poundland and decide only to nick the good stuff is hysterical.

I bought a laser level from there a little while ago.
'What a bargain!', I thought when it projected the laser line on to my wall. Then I realised that instead of being at 0 / 90 / 180 degrees, the line was -10 / 80 / 170 degrees, so if it had any use at all it would only have been for very specialised jobs.
They gave me a refund when I took it back, without really understanding what I was saying.
They still seem to be selling them, so I assume that if they were all like that they would take them off sale.
  • Did you know they have a web site - they have a new camping and holiday range - here's the address/link:

Welcome to MSE, If you click on the blue print "DIY Equipment" in the first post, it is a "hidden" link to the Poundland website. ;)
