HELP -(home study)tranning course

HEY..
I'm looking for some advise.
Has anyone completed a home study course? And are they any good? I'm currently employed for a high street bank and looking to complete my CeMap for mortgage advising, however all the websites look the same and with it cost £1000+ including all exams I don't want to rush into this.
any advise/ websites would be fab!
p.s - I'm in Edinburgh.
