Not sure what board to put this one so please move if this is the wrong one

I've been sent an email by Next today saying they have reserved me a catalogue at £3.75 and if I don't want it to cancel the order. I didn't order this and I don't normally have a catalogue. I think Next are trying to generate a bit of extra cash. Please check your emails carefully if you don't want this catalogue or to pay £3.75 then cancel.

As you sure it isn't spam? NEXT can't charge you for unsolicited goods. If they do send the catalogue because you haven't cancelled, that's their problem, not yours.

    I've been Money Tipped!
There's a phone number and a pin number to cancel. I've not had to give any personal details

It's real, there are lots of people complaining on Next's Facebook page.

It's very annoying - I specifically opted out of the Directory when I signed up for my account a few years ago. Last year they sent one anyway so I rang to complain and they cancelled it and said I wouldn't receive any more. Then I received this email saying I have to call them to cancel. I've emailed them to say I won't be calling and they need to cancel it; I'm hoping they do and don't try sending another in 6 months!
  • Same thing happened to me.

I opted out of the next directory when I opened my account. A couple of weeks ago I received the winter special catalogue and rung them to say I don't want directories and refuse to pay for it - apparently this was a free one being sent to all customers!?

Anyway now I am being opted automatically into the directories and need to call - no doubt a premium rate number - to cancel.
