I wouldn't mind doing some voluntary work providing its local.
What would be the best method of finding out what is available locally?
Thanks as usual

Your city/town may have a Voluntary Action thats a good starting place. Also Do it.org will show whats available where you are. Also If you have an idea of what you want to do you can contact places direct and ask if they are taking on volunteers.
You could also ask at your local community centre, if you have got one.
You may want to ask if the place where you volunteer has a development programme for the volunteers and if you get any qualifications. Also worth asking is if bus fares are reinbursed.0 -
Try your local Citizens Advice Bureau. In my area they are always looking for volunteer's.0
