Charity Christmas Cards

Options
Apologies if a similar post is already elsewhere:

I usually make my own Christmas cards but due to time constraints this year, I thought instead that I would buy some charity cards to help support some charities. However nowhere on any of their websites can I find any indication of how much of the purchase cost goes towards their fundraising. I work for a small local charity which has its own cards for sale and it makes £1 in every purchase, with the cost of a pack of 10 around £3.99.
I wondered how that compares with the bigger charities but as I say can't find any information about it. I would like to buy from several charities not just the one I work for.
Any pleasant and helpful comments or suggestions would be welcome thanks :)

  • As far as I'm aware very little tends to go to the big charities as not only the printers are making profit but the designers and distributors,

  • I always buy Home Bargains charity cards. They support Alder Hey, the hospital where my son had life saving surgery at nine hours old, and further life saving surgery at nine months old. He is now 15 :D

The cards are in boxes of twelve, for 99p, and are designed by children. Their competition for next year's cards is open. On the front of the box it says that all profits will be donated to Alder Hey Children's Charity. They hope to raise £15,000 this year.

I bought my cards from Tesco this year, they are supporting Diabetes UK this year, and I work with 2 children with that condition so was happy with this choice :)
The Card Factory are also doing charity Christmas cards this year also. Am planning on checking those out on Thursday when I'm in town

Being a money saver I buy mine from the Cancer Research UK Shop in the sale after Christmas, I usually get 10 for 49p. I sometimes make them too from old cards.
