^^^ some fab ideas on clothes budgeting.
I'm going to steal the idea of checking if I already have something similar -Currently have 5 black cardigans and 3 almost identical pairs of trainers.

It really isn't necessary to spend nearly £400 a month on clothes, or anything like this amount. My wife doesn't spend that a year on clothes, and she always looks nicely dressed. You have a huge opportunity to save money by cutting this back significantly.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Allow yourself one day per week shopping at your local charity shops. You can buy several items, but have spent less than a tenner, so get the buzz without the financial hit. And your money's going to a good cause.
Also look at when and how you shop; when waiting for bus/train? Online during lunch breaks? With friends? Once you see the patterns you can take steps to break the habit.
You must have mountains of stuff lying about. Ebay it or bag it up for charity shops- this action may make you realise how little you need more clutter. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Loving the cutting back on shopping tips - thanks.
Ditzydress - you have done really well to notice this and do something about it before you got into debt! I wish I had done the same. I really struggle with buying stuff as well as I shop when I feel low. Have cut back a lot but the tips on here have also been really helpful. Keep them coming people!0
