Can I renew tesco vouchers

Sorry if this question has already been asked there are that many posts it's hard to look.

I have some tesco clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of this month. I rang tesco to renew them for another 2 years but they refused saying its's not their policy. Is this true or did I speak to somebody who was having a bad day? I renewed some around may with no problem and they even renewed some that had expired without me even asking where previously they refused to renew expired.

Tesco did change their clubcard vouchers/ deals voucher renewal or refund policy sometimes last year, they used to refund the unused deals vouchers as well but dont do that anymore.
