Postal, Text and Phone Competitions - Part 22

I have always wondered how the people running the competitions register our entries. If we send off our postcards, is there a warehouse of people entering our name and answers onto a computer? The same computer our text entries get entered on to? Or are our postcard entries directed straight into the recycle bin? I would be really interested in finding out. Would also like to know if our free ITV entries are AS likely to win as a paid text entry. Would love to hear peoples thoughts.

Rather odd dates to take the prize if the closing date precludes taking it in the first two months! Also, as the first available month to take the prize would be August 2014 then there are only 8 months of stays available so where does the 23 months come in?PRIZE: 1 x an overnight stay at one of Z Hotels properties on the first Friday of every month until March 2015. As I have won from numerous postcard entries where there are also text and phone entry available I can say that they are not going in the bin, how they deal with the processing I don't know though.jimsten1980 wrote: »I have always wondered how the people running the competitions register our entries. It was a typo, it should say "12 months". The rest is as quoted in the newspaper.Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.

Some years back I was a temp at a well-known tabloid and yes - one of the things I did was type in coupon entries for giveaways (or cut and paste e-mail entries) into a database. Possibly they may have moved to using scanners and text recognition to speed it up.
I've also had a postcard win from TVEasy so they don't bin them.I need to think of something new here...0
