The prize is:
(a) The 1966 VW Camper as seen being restored in Classic Car Rescue Episode 4 first broadcast on Channel 5 on 12th May 2014 (“the car”). The car is finished in blue and white and has a refurbished and serviced engine and uprated brakes; and
(b) Comprehensive car insurance up to a policy premium value of £1,000.
By entering the competition, the prize winner confirms that they will accept the car in the condition as delivered, and that the prize winner will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the car including all applicable costs.
The car will have a valid MOT certificate. Channel 5 makes no representation or warranty in relation to the car and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Channel 5 shall have no liability in relation to the car, its fitness for purpose, merchantability or otherwise. Channel 5 shall not be responsible for any mechanical or other faults that may develop or for maintenance, repairs, further restoration or other costs whatsoever relating to the car once it has been delivered to the prize winner and change of ownership documentation has been completed.
The prize winner must take delivery of the vehicle at their home address. The date and place of delivery will be agreed between Channel 5 and the prize winner, but must be within mainland United Kingdom.
The prize winner must sign the car’s V5 logbook and hold and present a valid driving licence (both Paper and Card parts) prior to registration of the car in the prize winner’s name.
The prize winner must confirm acceptance of their prize within 28 days of the date of their congratulations letter from Channel 5 or the prize may be forfeited and another prize winner drawn.
Channel 5 reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute the prize with a suitable alternative of comparable value if circumstances make this necessary.
The prize is non-transferable. However, Channel 5, in its sole discretion, may agree at the prize winner’s written request, to register the car in the name of an immediate family member of the prize winner (upon receipt of the family member’s written consent and upon compliance by the family member with clause 5 above) and provide the comprehensive insurance for that immediate family member, rather than the prize winner.
To the extent permitted by law, Channel 5 is not liable for any loss suffered to a person or property sustained as a result of taking the prize or entering into this competition by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by Channel 5 or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winner.
This competition is also being advertised across various Northern and Shell publications.0 -
