i have 4 companies with monies owed in brackets -
Capital One (2000)
APex (610)
Rma resolve (9000)
DWF (has CCJ against house) (14500)
these are debts i owe and some have been passed through a few other debt recovery companies,
i am not in a position to repay the full amount,
how much will they accept for partial settlement payment?
is there a minimum amount acceptable?
hope someone can shed some light on this.
thanks

how long have they been owing and how much are you paying? ones with collectors are most likely to do a deal.
there is no minimum. 20-30% maybe for a start?
one with a charging order is not likely to deal0 -
Capital One (2000) £1 per month
APex (610) £5 per month (they offered 512 to clear)
Rma resolve (9000) £2 per month
DWF (has CCJ against house) (14500) £4 per month
been paying for a good few years nowneed to do better0 -
How much are you in a positon to offer?
Assuming finances allow I would start by offering 20% of the outstanding balance on the 3 unsecured debts. But be prepared they may try to haggle you upwards. Make your offers to them in writing and more importantly get written confirmation from them of the deal before you pay.
The debt with a charging order. Do you own your home alone or with someone else? Does the house currenly have much equity?
They may not be prepared to accept any reduced offer, they are unlikely to accept any substantial discount.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
