We bought this on Wednesday (I think).

To be honest, I have started buying more at morries and less at tescimos because of the deals on useful things.

Likewise. And that doesn't take account of the fact that Morrison's meat is vastly better (in my estimation) than the stuff sold by the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury's or Asda.

The only complaint I have is that their they are still using chicken 'from the EU' from Irish processors in chicken products - and I wouldn't touch either with a bargepole.

I checked where my chicken was processed (sad I know) and it shows as UK 4014 EC - Sun Valley, Hereford (once Googled).

A nice plump bird .................................. nothing like myself. :D

Yes, the whole chickens and portions are - that's why I said 'processed'.

Unfortunately, though, if you look at the chicken products (breaded chicken portions etc) the meat is usually from 'the EU'. The same is true of Morrison's processed pork (pork spare ribs etc). In this area Morrison's seem more like Tesco and a step behind Sainsbury's and two or three behind Waitrose. It's the only flaw in a great range, I'd have said.

These were £2.49 kilo same time last year.... That's inflation for you. This is still a good price for good quality meat. Thanks for the heads up...:D

I would guess they were remaining stock already priced up.

I got a couple last week but certainly back to normal, unaffordable, levels this week

I wonder if it's regional? The offer was running in Morrison's Hastings, East Sussex on Monday. There was plenty of stock and it was well signed. I dragged one back to Kent as a trophy.

Think I read they started importing pork from Poland in the last year or two...
doesn't really go with the whole 'British' meat image they like to have..
