can further charges be added to an existing CCJ?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place

If a CCJ has been issued in 2006 in England, can any further costs/fees/charges be added to it without going back to court for amendments? I do not mean interest charges but things like warrent costs/warrent fees?

Thanks

  • As far as I know, they can't enforce without getting it refreshed in court as over 6 years old. Rarely granted from what I read on here.

Are you saying they added these after the 6 year date from granting?

  • I sadly have one CCJ which is almost finished - just another £15 to go yeay!

I had to almost beg to get a statement from them as I have never had anything in the four years I have been paying them. When the sttement arrived I saw they had added three warrent charges even though none has ever been served or bailiff arrived.

    Thanks for reply

They can't charge for something they haven't done. To do so is verging on the fraudulent.

I thought so too! I am wondering if this is why it was so difficult to get a statement.

I checked with National Debt Line who have supplied a template letter to send where I can quote relevent bits of "Acts" and prompt them to send me copies of everything they hold regarding said CCJ...shall wait and see if they comply....not feeling too sure they will.

    thanks for reply

  • Send them a subject access request, they have no choice. If they fail to provide.

Also, if you complain, in writing, should be able to refer to FOS if they don't produce.
