Actual Annuity Percentage Rates

Options
Just wondering if anyone can advise please. Without asking Aviva, is there anywhere I can see their actual annuity percentage rates? Are these published anywhere? In particular I want to find out when over the last 2 months their rates changed and what the rate was after each change.

Thanks for any help.

You can get current annuity rates from a number of providers, including Aviva, from http://pluto.moneyadviceservice.org.uk/annuities.

I don't know how to access previous rates. You should also be aware that these are presumably rates that are available to direct customers - IFAs claim to be able to procure better rates.

Sorry but that site only gives you an annuity amount you will receive. I want to be able to see actual percentage rates.

Annuity rates change on a regular basis, and take account of dozens of variables. An insurer such as Aviva won't necessarily apply uniform increases or decreases across the board; at the same time that annuity rates for 65 year old males are increasing, rates for 64 year old females may be decreasing. It's a lot more granular than simply having published annuity rates for everyone.

I'm not aware of any centralised record being kept of a provider's annuity rates, which would be a mammoth task for the reasons outlined above.

If you explain what the driver for the enquiry is, you may be able to get the answers you are looking for (just in a roundabout way).
