Letter from Robinsons-way

Hi I was recently made redundant, I phoned my debtors to inform them of my change in circumstances, one of my debts was with SBS (Lloyds Bank) when I spoke to them they said they could find no record for me so I asked where the £30 payments I had been making each month were going I was told she could not help me.

Over the weekend I received a letter from lloyds bank telling me they had passed my details to Robinson way as they were unable to agree a suitable payment plan (how can I arrange a payment plan when they can't find my details) the debt is for an old overdraft currently it stands at £1745, my other debtors have let me pay £1 a month to be reviewed in 6 months. I have been sent the full contact details for Robinson's way I just don't understand why the could not find my details when I rang them to let them know I was made redundant.

should I send them an email and let them know my circumstances

thanks
M

    Hi,
Total up the amount of £30 payments you have been making, write a letter of complaint to Lloyds for "losing" your details, and find out where the money you have been paying has gone, at the same time write to "Robinson way" telling them the account is "in dispute" with Lloyds and to return it to original creditor for resolution, that should get swiss family off your case and Lloyds should sort this problem out for you, then when you know were you stand you can make an offer of payment either to Lloyds or whichever DCA next picks it up, but important to know were your money has gone first, if no luck with any of that after 8 weeks write a formal complaint to the FOS (financial ombudsman service) and they will deal with it for you for free.

  • Does the OD show as defaulted on your report?

In your complaint, tell them you require it removing unless they can prove it should be there. Will be interesting to see if they find your record then.

  • I rand BLS again today to be told they cannot find my details, I explained this was the second time I have been told this, so where have my payments been going and how can you have no record of me yet you are able to pass my details on to another company, they told me to call the number on the letter (robinson-way) and they will be able to tell me what payments have been made, I responded saying I have been making payments to your company and I want to know where my payments have gone he just said I cannot help you so I said well I cannot pay of my debt and for my purposes this call has been recorded for legal purposes. I thanked him for wasting my time and hung up

I have just emailed robinson-way and explained this mess and asked them to send the debt back to BLS I received

Nice that the banks get bailed out when there up S**t street yet us mere mortals have to deal with these w****s
  • Write them a complaint, send signed for. If they can't answer your concerns, refer to FOS and they can pay the £500 fee.
