Barclays First Time Mortgage - Average process time?

Hi People

My partner has just applied for a barclays mortgage. We done the application in full last tuesday on the phone and they have told us we should have the paperwork tommorow.

Has anyone had any dealings with them for first time mortgages and have an idea of the process times and if you had any delays?

We are really hoping to move quickly as we are first time buyers and forsee any hiccups but obviously dealing with these large companies can sometimes result in delays over the slightest things.

If you can post any feedback on barclays i would really appreciate it.

The mortgage offer is only the first stage of the process. The purchase process itself can throw up all sorts of curved balls. Best to remain relaxed and not get overly concerned.
