My immediate thought is that it'd be quite a faff to clean after use.

There's quite a few reviews for it on that Amazon link, mixed but primarily okay. Most of the negative ones say the same things -- that it feels a bit plasticky and flimsy, but it seems to do the job. The constant comments from the company come across a bit... aggressive, which puts me off.

I also think it's quite expensive for what it is; it seems a wholly unnecessary gadget to me, but I guess it might be worth it to you if you're planning on eating a lot of salad, or desperately want spaghetti made from courgettes for some reason.

Hi Mutley, I had one very similar a couple of years ago. Used it once or twice, put it in a cupboard, then months later threw it in te bin. Waste of money - but thats only my opinion. jac. x
  • I've got one and we use it all the time, it's great for fancy salads, everlasting curly cucumber etc plus it makes a litttle go a long long way too. You can not do the equivalent by hand it would take forever. It is not the same as the 3 in 1 apple corer either (I have that too :) ) which does much thicker slices.

I definitely recommend it if you have a lot of salads or have kids who won't eat salads lol :)

    This is my one:

    Hope this helps,

  • I have one that I bought second hand on ebay. I love mine, I dont find it hard to clean, just rinse under tap or place on top rack of dishwasher.

I mainly use mine to make "spaghetti" from courgettes. The main thing I find is its best to find the straightest courgette you can to enable it to turn in the machine easily.

Ive had mine over 5 years and its still going strong.

  • I bought one today £4.50 in CS - totally unused so I think I did well enough for that. Not sure I would ever pay full price though.
