ParkingEye county court claim received

Hi,
Hope you can give me some advice.
I received a parking eye parking charge in early 2012 and after reading the advice here ignored the three letter they sent me and they gave up. In November 2012 I was issued another PCN from them for a similar offence and duly ignored the letters. I ripped them up without even looking at them as I assumed that nothing had changed.
I have now received a claim form from Northampton County Court from the claimant ParkingEye Ltd in relation to a parking charge issued on 23/11/2012 at Booths Clitheroe.
They are asking for £145. I'm not even sure we were that long in the car park but didn't even read the letters from these parasites.
Can anyone advise what my next steps are?
Thanks in advance.

Yes first thing to do is acknowledge the claim on mcol, then say you will defend in full , then ask for 28 days to defend. Once you've done that come back here for further guidanceWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

It's just been produced yesterday by Coupon-mad - excellent stuff.

This is a court claim though isn't it. Very different but defendable and winnable (but be under no illusions, PE have a Legal Dept and employ a firm of Solicitors for those few cases that actually end up in a hearing).
The simplest summary & info about court claims we already have is now tucked in the 'Welcome' sticky thread at the top of the forum:
Advice: Small Claims & PPCs
List of PPC Court Cases (non-exhaustive)
The recent wins against PE are well worth learning from and including details about in your defence (cite the actual cases even though small claims decisions do not set a precedent. They are still persuasive decisions and you can copy their winning defence points).
Most do not go to a hearing because people put in a strong skeleton defence within 28 days and IMMEDIATELY COMPLAIN to the top, (CEO of retailer and management of retail park) which is NEVER too late.
Look at all the ones cancelled after court papers recently in post #1! And look at post #3 for who to contact and for an example of a ranting complaint letter:

I also post as SRM on pepipoo forum so here's a thread there with a load of links which show other relevant threads and actual defence wording. Seeing as that particular OP keeps ...sort of... dithering, we keep showing him stuff so this is one of many threads there you can learn from:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=84555
In fact if you browse that forum, read every small claim thread in the first half-dozen pages or more and you would learn loads. There's a small claim thread every 5 or 6 threads on pepipoo and you can spot them from the thread titles and you could click through lots in an hour or two of research. BUT COMPLAIN TOO!

Some good news it appears.
I emailed the store manager and got the following response.Afternoon Mr #####,
We have negotiated with Parking Eye and they have agreed to cancel your outstanding parking fine.
I trust this is a satisfactory outcome.

Well done. The good old fashioned complaint continues to produce good results.
