I seem to be peeling potatoes a lot recently, and I was wondering if it was possible to peel a bag at a time, and store them for throughout the week.
I have tried to put them in the fridge after peeling them, in a tight sealed food storage box, the next morning they was black! whole bag wasted.
Any ideas? maybe freeze them?

I've kept peeled spuds in a bowl of cold water and some salt added. Put in the fridge and make sure the water covers the spuds.0

Thanks.
How do they last before going black?0 -
A good few days, not tried for a whole week TBH. The key is to keep them covered in water. Maybe do enough for 3/4 days and take it from there.0

Change the water daily.0

ascorbate acid can help in water.
I think that's what chip chops use when they cut the chips before they fry them later in the day.0 -

As long as they are covered in water they will be fine. Just change the water every day.
I normally peel a full bag and turn it in to mash, then freeze in portions. It speeds up midweek dinners.£36/£240
