Another Car Finance Question
Options
Hi everyone.
I decided to crash my car into a tree the other morning and its a complete write off.
The car was changed slightly from the manufactures handbook so I am worried the insurance company wont pay up so just in case i thought id get some advice.
Theres no way i am going to pay for a car that is un-drivable so is there a way of lowering my payments as I could only just afford the car when it was working and I could use it but obviously now i need alot more cash for taxis/busses etc.
A friend mentioned I could stop my direct debits and get taken to court and get a CCJ slapped on me and that would lower my payments and my mother mentioned something called a VA but im unsure of what either of these are.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly greatly appreciated.

What modification do you think may void your insurance?I have a cunning plan!

Alloy wheels and blacked out windows :S. The payments i was referring to ( I forgot to mention) are for the hire purchase of the car itself0

As long as the tint was legal that should be ok, the alloys might be a problem.
Are they the same size as the original wheels? If larger was that size fitted as an option by the manufacturer.
If you can show they didn't contribute to the accident it will help. They may see this as a material omission however.I have a cunning plan!

The tints were legal but the rims were alot bigger and fancier than the originals.
Im just preparing myself for the worst really.0
