  • If I was ever lucky enough to win the first prize.. I can't go on the world trips... Could I just take the money and pass the tickets prize on to someone else that they redraw for, or do you have to pass on the whole prize?

You can decline part of a prize (they may ask you to put it in writing)

  • I wonder how they do it.

So they start work at 9am, and call the first chosen winner, and it will be 12pm before they move onto the next one. If that person doesn't answer, they call the next person 3 times before 3pm. If that person doesn't answer, they call the next person before 6pm.

Then the working day is over, and they might not have found a winner.

If only I was good at statistics, so that I could calculate what the various chances would be of them finding a winner in this way.

We'd like to think that if we're called by ITV at 9am, then we've got until 12pm to answer their next two calls, but maybe it doesn't even work like that.

The £1,000 Tesco Finest food and drink one closes at 10am on 11/11 so there is time to get a little shopping done before they call.

On This Morning when one of the comps was being advertised, they said that the prize would be delivered in time for Christmas. Could that be why some of them are time-critical?

That would be it for the gadget package that comes with the cash and vouchers from the this morning one(the x factor ones are to do with the tickets etc).
