Crispy gingerbread recipe

Hello, I wondered if anyone could help please. When ever I've made gingerbread it raises up and is very soft, it's lovely but very different t to the gingerbread men you buy in a shop. Does anyone have a good recipe for it? Thank you

    Would be interested to see what people come up with for this, really love crisp gingerbread. Maybe a ginger snap recipe would work?

    There are two different kinds in the Bero Book

    Ginger Bread and Ginger Snaps.
    I think you may be able to google It on line.

    The closest to shop-bought gingerbread men I've got is this recipe, which is actually very basic. I do sometimes add a teeny bit of water if the dough is too dry

  • These are amazing - though perhaps not quite what you are looking for.

    These make fantastic thin ginger biscuits (like the Anna Biscuits that you buy from Ikea). They are crisp and very, very addictive!

    You can shape them any which way and are great hanging from the tree at Christmas or just in a big tin. We make loads of star shapes but you can use any type of cutter. Great for kids as the dough is really easy to use
