Early Repayment Charge

My fixed rate mortgage with The Coventry comes to an end on 01/01/2014. If I were to transfer lenders after that date will I still be stung for the Early Repayment Charge - or does that usually only apply if you transfer your mortgage before then end of the fixed term?

It only usually applies if you transfer before the fixed rate ends.

The ERP and the fix normally end on the same date, but you should check your mortgage KFI or offer to ensure that applies in your case. Some old products did have ERP "overhangs" but these have largely disappeared now.I am a mortgage broker.
