Anyone else having trouble finding ground almonds?

I too could not find ground almonds at Tesco so I got them from our local health food shop, hope this helps

My mother was looking for ground almonds, tried Lidl, Home Bargains and Sainsbury's today but couldn't find any.

Plenty of ground almonds in Lidl this morning @ £1.19/200g
Also flaked and whole almonds but I did not note the price

I make almond milk and the ground up almonds can be dried in the oven afterwards and used as ground almonds. I have used them in frangipane and got lots of positive comments.
-Soak almonds in water over night
- Drain water. Whizz almonds in blender.
- Add water and mix. Strain mixture through tea towel/muslin etc.
- There's your milk. Put the stuff that's left in the tea towel in a low oven on a baking tray. There's your ground almonds.

I had a delivery of 3kg of organic ground almonds yesterday (I use them for raw foods) from goodness direct. I didn`t realise they were in short supply but I did have to wait a few days longer than normal
