'Soft' credit rating?

Hi there; I need to move house (bad landlord turning abusive, loooong story) and I am about to pay a holding fee for a house round the corner, but I know they will do a 'soft' credit search or something like this. I know I have a bad credit rating and I am really worried about this. Is there anything I click on to see what they will see?

I believe they can only see 'public information', ie ER status, CCJs, bankruptcy, etc.

As far as I know I have no CCJs - I'm assuming someone would have told me if I had? Can I check?

Electoral Roll.

They'll be shown on your credit report(s).

I'm on the electoral roll and I did a credit check on Noodle and there were none so I think I'm ok

You could check the other 2 as not everyone will report to noodle nor all 3.
