Hi all, I hope you don't mind me posting on here as I'm new to the thread although I've been reading it for a while.
I've been wombling at A, collecting receipts from the car park mainly. Last month I used £52 worth of receipts and this month I've got up to £50 worth so I don't go over the limit.
Tried to use some vouchers tonight though and I got pulled up at the till. They said they'd seen me getting receipts out of the bushes and so wouldn't accept them. I felt so ashamed and embarrassed but at the same time didn't feel I was doing anything wrong collecting receipts people had thrown away.
The other day I got told at the tills (a different store) that I could only use 3 receipts at a time. I rang customer services and they confirmed that wasn't right. I got them to send me a letter that I could show in store stating that up to 10 could be used a month.
It really affected me tonight..almost felt like a criminal. Don't know where to go from here. Should I still look round the car park for receipts. Should I try to use my receipts at another store...I just don't know.
I'd been interested to hear from any of you that this has happened to aswell. Any advice on what to do next, much appreciated too. Thanks!

I will admit to wearing thongs over 10 years ago.

I lost a pair once, went away with friends and not sure if left in my hotel room or whether fell out of my ruck sack into their boot. It was never mentioned but not sure if they were too embarrassed. :rotfl:

At one point I did have to get something out of my ruck sack while it was in their boot so not 100% sure what happened. My poor friend if she found it might have thought her OH was up to something and if he found it I don't think I would like to know what he thought. :eek:

Im an opportunistic Wombler. ie I don't go out my way to do it, just when Im shopping anyway. There are folks on here who are more dedicated womblers. Im sure there is a letter/article floating around that clarifies that it's ok......hopefully someone will post a link up for you
