Very little smell. DH didn't know I'd cooked chips til I called him to taste them. You can do thin or thick ones, but all need to be about the same size for even cooking. It does big or small portions too. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't switch off when the timer goes off, you have to push the off button to stop it cooking.
There is an app for recipes to cook meat, veg, fish etc that I downloaded onto my Galaxy Note. Apparently some people can't get it to work, but it's fine for me.

Does the Actifry brown the food as well?
if i like my chips very well done , will it let me do them for longer than usual or does it just get to a certain temperature and stop cooking?
This is only thing i dont like about my health grill, i use it all the time, almost every day, but it just wont let me "over cook" the bacon iykwim. It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
