threat of ccj from O2 & Moorcroft

Help! I had (have) a contract with O2. Over a period of about 5 weeks I had 4 or 5 different bills from them ranging from £290 (my monthly bill was usually between £30-£40) to £100. I contacted them several times to query & had different answers each time, from 'yes you owe this' to 'no, there is nothing on your bill at all'. I got so fed up that I said I wanted to finish with them & needed to work out with them how to go about it. After no communication from them I called again to say I needed to sort it & was told to wait for a letter. Several weeks later & I've recieved a letter from Moorcroft Debt Recovey demanding full payment of £256 or get a ccj. I've just got off the phone to them trying to explain that I have no money & that even HMRC have accepted £10 per month on proof I am skint but they were adamant that the best they could do was £30 per month, even when I said I wouldn't be able to pay my rent with that in place.
No idea wht to do now. I shall complain to Ofcom but very stressed about idea of a ccj.
What do I do?

Go online: https://www.mdrl.co.uk/ and log in, dont give out your phone number.
Fill out the I&E form so that it leaves you with nothing. They will then write to you to say they aint dealing with your account
the CCJ is just a threat! All hot air..!0 -

And to moorcroft for trying to get you to pay when you told them it would mean you couldn't pay your priority bills (rent).
Report to OFT for this also.:beer:0 -
Try not to get too stressed, if you did get a CCJ it would most likely only be for token payments in your position.
I'd be tempted to tell Moorcroft to apply for a CCJ then, because you certainly won't be paying them instead of your rent! What will your verse be?
