Hi,
My query is this, I have a BOS account which I have been paying off through a monthly payment organised by myself for the last 18 months. They sold the debt to IDEM about four months ago and I continued to make the payments.
This month I have been unable to make a payment to them due to personal circumstances. I emailed them to tell them this and explained what the personal circumstances where.
They haven't bothered coming back to me. I stated in the letter that payments would resume as normal next month.
My concern is that BOS defaulted the account in 2010 as IDEM are now looking after it - will they now default me as well?

No, they can't. Actually they can but they are not allowed to and you should be able to get it removed if they try. I suspect they won't bother for the sake of one month.0
