Is this your Job?

Hello All,

You guys have always fascinated me, do any of you do it as a full time vocation and if so what sort of returns do you make?

Thank you.

Hi there Cotta, i'm not sure many on here do comping as a job, the prizes can be wonderful but it's just not feasible to live off them in the long run, as they are so sporadic and unfortunately bills are pretty regular :)

I didn't even realise this forum existed until recently and I remember watching a programme once where it followed a series people who enter competitions all day and spend a fortune on stamps etc. Some made reasonable incomes.

No - I work full time and comp sometimes (as now) in my lunch break, or during evenings and weekends. I reckon my rate of return for comping is somewhere around £1 per hour spent, so no way would it substitute for a job.

I work full time and do my comping around that. I probably spend between 1-2 hours a day on it and not at weekends so about 10 hours per week. I only enter comps I want to win, I cant see how it could be a full time job

I work full time, comping is my hobby which sometimes brings in a bit extra revenue, usually in the form of vouchers.

    Yes.

I spend my life here and only eat my winnings...

Sadly I've been living off books this month.

(no, it's not really but I wish it was!) xx

It's just a hobby, there's no way you can earn a decent living from comping.
    Good luck :)

  • I am off work sick at the moment so have a lot of free time to enter comps on here but I only do online ones and never buy stamps or purchase ones.

I just love the excitement and if I am sitting at home anyway, I might as well do something with my free time.

Unless you were REALLY lucky, I can't see anyone making a living from it. I've been doing it for around 2 years and my wins are worth under 1k. Its definitely a hobby....not work. x
