Experian Frustation

Sorry but I really do have to vent my annoyance with Experian.

They may be the "daddy" of the CRA's but their Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired.

Their lead times on answering queries seems to be getting longer and when they do reply, they miss off half of the question so you then have to go back through the same route again.

And to make it worse, they rub salt in the wound by trying to up-sell their £2 reports with a subscription report. Perhaps Experian should learn how to improve their Statutory Reports and enquiry handling and then (and I say then loosely), I may just consider your subscription service.

I am desperately trying to get a financial associate (when there is no financial associate), removed - easy? You would think so as both Equifax and Call Credit have been able to do this.

But Experian...? Nah, don't be so stupid - this is Experian!

In the meantime, I think it's time I escalated this one up the ladder to the ICO as Lowell simply won't remove a search based on a financial association that isn't there. At least the ICO know how to handle their customers and their complaints.

Complain to the FOS as well, and tell Experian you are doping so.

  • Just goes to show how much difference there can be when treating customers, Experian removed my financial association no problem, but Equifax are refusing to do so.

It may be an idea to post in the credit file and ratings board as Experian do post in there and may move your complaint along a bit quicker.

Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom.
