wetherspoons vouchers - use in tesco

I've just received a 'junk post' for weatherspoons pub & lodges, but....theres £50+ of vouchers, most for £2 & £3 each, they all start 99 and the wetherspoons name is really tiny in the small print, so i'm thinking these will scan at tesco.
Some are obviously not tesco products (tea&muffi or double vodka&redbull) but loads could be (walkers crisps, wine & beer)
They're valid 1stJuly - 30Sept so I haven't tried these yet, I'm planning to try a small value one and play stupid if they spot it, but i knew someone on here would want to keep an eye out for these, even if it's just to use in wothersppons.
As an aside, did you know there's a pint called 'pedigree' ? My tesco will think it's dog food i know it!

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

i got these yesterday never thought bout using at tescos i think thats takin right p*** out of there lax coupon/ voucher policy as tesco wont be able to recoup moneyJAN WINS- pepsi tshirt,0

i have to agree, i think this is really dishonest and will ruin it for teh rest of us who only use legitimate coupons that the supermarkets can recoup their money on:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0

I've got some of these too. I like getting my savings from Tesco, but wouldn't dream of using these coupons, or ones from other stores - thats just asking for trouble. Tesco have already tightended up and will now not take any coupons that won't scan, when they used to key them in.So your answer don’t be scared of failure
For the only failure is never to try

:rotfl: I have to laugh, using the words 'dishonest' and 'tesco' in the same sentence....and not meaning them, now thats funny.
No idea what you mean by tesco's lax coupon policy, mine scrutinise everything, they don't take internet coupons or 2 of anything...they're far from lax.
Obviuosly if people don't want to use these in wetherspoons or anywhere else they don't need to, but you know the old saying 'if you can't say anything nice...'Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

i have these too, and will only use them in weatherspoon, do u know how much does it cost to have a sunday roast there? about a fiver i think, and 2 main meal for about a fiver before dinner time, bargain, love it, cheap and cheerful. i don't drink but really enjoy their lovely cup of tea. why waste these nice coupons in t? i would only save them for the my cheerful meals in weatherspoon.
i have spare if anyone wants some.

Thanks for the idea OP. People can of course choose whether or not to use the vouchers as suggested, but is it really necessary to have a whole stream of indignant protests?0

Let us know how you get on littlejaffa when you do try them.0

it is these little coupons and stuff that get tescos to get stricter with coupons, there is plenty of money to be made by just using tescos own coupons and most are of a higher valuecoupon over here, coupon over there, every crack filled with coupons even down there(meaning under the buggy lol):D0

ill have them if you dont want them?Trophies are like Buses, you wait 26 years.
Then 3 come along at once!!!!0 -
I got some of these vouchers today in the post. I plan on using them in Wetherspoons when we go on holiday and if I have enough left over, take my mum-in-law out for lunch or tea a few times.0
