Most tried for prize?

Just wondering what the most tried for prize was from other compers?

I think mine might be Le Creuset stuff- I've always loved it but no way can i afford it.

I try for these more than Ipads, money etc.

I must have entered getting around 1,000 or more competitions for various versions of iPads over the period I have been doing comping. Never won once. It'd have been easier to save up and win vouchers and cash to buy one. :D

Just cant win one, been trying since they came out.
Although years ago I was despairing of ever winning a DVD player, finally thought well I will just go buy one then, lo and behold I finally won one in a local paper comp.
Have won more DVD players since then.

You might be as well spending your time at local car boots, jumble sales and [STRIKE]tip[/STRIKE] recycling centre, if there's one nearby. I've got a great set of (mismatched!) le Creuset pots and pans that I've picked up over the years, because it's the sort of thing that people buy or ask for as wedding gifts, and then don't use because they can't get along with it. One brand to look out for when you're on the cast-iron hunt is 'Cousances', which is another name that le Creuset manufacture under. Vendors will know and push the price up on le Creuset, but Cousances is just as good in terms of quality and manfacture. In fact, my best buy has to be a little Danish cast iron casserole dish that I picked up for 50p at a car boot sale and that is just the right size for most of my everyday cooking. Watch out for - and avoid - rubbishy, cheaply made orange pans with wooden handles and no makers mark - rubbish that won't last five minutes before the wooden handle separates from the body of the pan.

I have a set of Le Creuset, set of 3 pans a frying pan and a casserol dish. I use the casserol dish weekly but the others including the wooden storage rack are somewhere at the back of the "glory hole" to those not knowing what a glory hole is, well mine in the cupboard under the stairs where all the "good junk" goes lol.
