gutted - had to cancel my holiday win

  • So sorry :-( I understand how gutting as we once booked an off season holiday to Majorca & then several of the kids went down with chicken pox. We also lost our holiday & then the insurance deducted £60 a person instead of £60 for the whole policy when they paid up, so we lost the exact cost of our Easy Jet flights - totally gutting & we never got a replacement holiday after that - that was 2008 & never been abroad since!
  • Can't claim of insurance surely as we did not pay for the holiday as it was a competition win ?

My sister sucessfully claimed on her travel insurance for a comp win holiday that had to be cancelled. You may need the promoters to send you a copy of the invoice. It may help if you tell the promoters how gutted you are and that you want to rebook the trip at a later date.
