Can anyone please recommend a reputable supplier for this honey? Looked on Amazon but so many to choose from and have read that there's a lot of fake Manuka honey out there!
Want to try this to get rid of helicobacter pylori. Had the triple treatment last time but it made me so ill, don't think I could face it again!

Holland & Barrett, and I think they are doing the penny sale to.0

Holland and Barrett seem to be out of stock on line. Was interested in the Comvita UMF 10+ 500g for 17.55 but when I read the reviews it's not raw honey so think some of the goodness would be lost in the process. Just rang my local Health Food shop in West Bridgford and they have some by Steens for £16 for 500g which is UMF 10+ and raw so will pop down and buy some from them. Here's hoping it works.0

The price in H&B is incredibly inflated, especially the penny sale.
Best place at a decent price was Aldi although even they are have started to ramp the price up.
Just to add it says Raw/Unpasteurized on the jar i have but it doesn't mention UMF.
It does have the NPA Activity 10+ certified sticker on it.0 -
Just looked Steens honey up on Amazon but it doesn't mention UMF on the label but the woman in the health food shop said it was! It says Certified Bioactive but not sure this is the same as UMF. Can anyone in the know please clarify this for me. TIA.0

Just read that NPA rating is as good as UMF so will see if it has either.0

It has Activity 10+ on my jar but from what I've read this isn't the same as NPA or UMF. Does your jar definitely read NPA Activity?0 -

Yes it does say that but it isn't the one in the picture (shown in the link).
The jar is a different shape and the branding isn't the same. I bought a couple of jars when they had it in on sale in the summer.
The stuff made by rowse is Asda (which i also have in the cupboard - don't ask!) has the NPA sticker on it also.
I have found a picture of the jar online for the rowse stuff:

Edit:-
UMF is a trademark which means you have to pay to use it.
I suspect in a lot of cases it doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't tested just that they refuse to pay royalties to use someones "trademark" as it just adds to the cost.
I'd be surprised, but it isn't beyond the realms of possibilities, that a supermarket would run the risk of serious complaints about miss-representing a product.
I know that sounds odd to say after the horse meat stuff but in many cases i think even the suppliers didn't know what they were getting never mind the supermarkets.0
