I am after some advice please.
My girlfriend and I looking to buy. She is a first timebuyer and I am still repaying an old secured loan which had negative equity somy credit file will clearly be affected. We do have a deposit we could use andmy girlfriends sister is happy to apply as a joint applicant but she has anexisting property. First of all could we use the new help to buy scheme in thisinstance (1st applicant first time buyer 2nd applicant existing homeowner) andwhich broker(s) and lender(s) would you advise we contact? We did speak to HSBC but my girlfriend doesnot meet their income criteria of £15000.
I would really appreciate your time and any advice.
Many thanks and Kind Regards.
Ian

Do have a few chats with brokers, as it could have potential.
Start from the top though; get your own Experian, Equifax and Call Credit files to the broker and you never know how this has been represented on there and we do not know how long ago.
Help To Buy will not work for someone who owns a property, so 10% and more likely 15% is going to be required if using Sister.
Good luckI am a Mortgage Broker
