Is this possible :/

Hello,We have an endowment mortgage with six years to term.At the moment it is running on track(although having to increase the premiums twice since getting it).Our mortgage is £34,360.00 at 2.5% apr obviously we would like to be mortgage free sooner than the six yrs.We can pay 10% in overpayments without paying any early repayment fees. What I was thinking is go onto a repayment mort keep the endowment policy running till term(will be a nice nest egg!!)put down £15,000 from savings we have, and just get a mortgage for £20,000,do the mortgage for over two years, and if we had any spare cash overpay when we could, OR just leave things as they are :/ decisions, decisions.Any advice appreciated :)
