Hi everyone. My husband is working away over Xmas and his birthday. I thought as I'm limited to size and weight of what I can send him I would send him his favourite ps3 games for his laptop.
The first I wanted to send was battlefield4, his laptop isn't too old but I just thought I would check if there was any special requirements for the type of laptop it will work on?
I don't want to spend £40 on each game and for him to get excited on opening them and then not able to load them!
Any advise or info would be great, ty.

All pc games come with options which let you change the settings for the game such as graphics quality etc. this means you can play the game and tailor it to the specifications of your computer. If the laptop is fairly new he shouldn't have too many issues.Challenger #52 in the £10 a day November Challenge

Battlefield 4 is a tough game on PC hardware, I wouldn't choose a game like that unless it was a laptop with a semi-decent graphics cards. Many laptops just use integrated graphics cards and aren't capable of playing high end games at decent settings. Yes you can turn the settings down but it's not a great experience when the game is looking very basic and still suffering a flaky framerate.

Brilliant thank you for the info. I think it's worth the risk, even if it's means turning down the settings I think he would still play it just to pass the time. I would ask him about his laptop but he will just moan that I'm spending money on him lol!
Thanks again.0 -
is he running an emulator to play ps3 games on a laptop? otherwise the games wont play in his latop!.0

Roughly how much was the laptop when it was new, and how old is it?
Do you know what make / model it is.
I'd be concerned if it was laptop that isn't designed for gaming as Battlefield 4 is very demanding. All your base are belong to us.0 -

I read it that way too but after readng it again I think the OP means to send the PC equivalent of PS3 games to her husband.0 -
Yea sorry I mean the PC version of battlefield4.
I've no idea about his laptop, I think my best bet is to just ask him, will ruin the surprise but better that than wasting money I guess.

I would agree about checking the spec of the laptop, do you know if he plays any other games on it as that could give a good indication of its power.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

So glad I checked with him, he said his laptop is on it's way out! Atleast I know what to buy him now, he will just have to wait until he is home to get it!0
