Handbag treasure

I've just cleaned out my handbag and in with the pens, chewing gum and lip balms I found some money! I thought it could be fun to see who can rummage the most out, so grab those handbags and get digging!

I found £1.39 :money:
Challenger #52 in the £10 a day November Challenge
£22.34/£300
Roadkill Rebel #40

Loan: £3,754 (£5k), Credit Card 1: £482.44 (£500), Credit Card 2: £754.55 (£800)

Normally there would be more because I often drop silver coins in my bag to put in the parking..

£1.70. I did have £1.90 but I took a birthday card to the post office and had to add 20p to the stamp to make up the exact cost of sending it. I'm glad I checked. Theres nothing like having a birthday card delivered but having to pay for the postage. :D

I inadvertently did this with my sister's birthday card a year or two back, I had to apologise profusely lol! I should have known as it was quite a big card and I should have bought a 'large' stamp ooops!

Anyway, my bag contained - purse, mobile phone 'sock', half a packet of tissues, a few receipts, opened packet of chewing gum, paracetamol, carex hand gel, no money though!
  • Is it just a female Thing ?
Only hubby asked me to check his "man bag" there are no loose receipts , bits of paper or pens. Not even a bit of fluff, not a single penny anywhere.

I have a bad habit of rolling paper money in the receipts and have been surprised buy finding cash when recording my spends later..

  • Was having a wee clear out a couple of weeks ago going through coats I hadn't worn in ages. Found a tenner in the pocket amongst the receipts. Glad I checked the pockets before getting rid of the coat. I do have a really bad habit of fivers in amongst receipts cos I just wrap them in them and put them in my purse when I'm in a rush. Usually find one or two fivers when I clear out my purse every couple of months.
