Bought Sofa From Next Clearance and now They Can't Deliver

I'm after some advise I bought a sofa from Next website on Monday and it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Tonight I had a call from them to say that unfortunately they are not able to fulfil the order, they basically went to pick it and couldn't find it in the warehouse. They've offered me a full refund, or discount on another sofa. I want to know what my rights are to demand the sofa, they make a newer model but it's twice the price of what I've paid. Even if I apply the discount they're offering I'll still have to pay another £300 and have to wait 6 weeks for delivery. Any advise would be appreciated.

Comments

  • Just accept the refund. If they don't have one then they can't deliver it.

It isn't that rare for orders to be cancelled for various reasons. Stock control computers aren't always that accurate, and they don't allow for damaged stock.

At their full price Next are expensive anyway, so you would probably be better off buying elsewhere.
