Powerful Vacuum Hoover For A Good Price?!

Hi,

First off sorry if this is the wrong forum section (I think its the correct one?)

So I need to buy a new vacuum hoover as the one currently have was only meant to be a temp one until I got more settled in my first house - and its been 10 months now so time to get a better one!

Basically I need a powerful hoover that can pick up dog and cat hair as I have a dog and cat, plus I have long hair so as you can imagine hoovering up hair is a big must for me lol

My question is, does anyone know where I can get a powerful hoover at a good price to do the job well and last!

I don't have a clue what a good price is for my needs so any suggestions and links etc would be very much appreciated as I'm sick and tired of struggling with the low powered hoover I currently have.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to the replies :)

I've got a Vax Pet U91-MA-P upright cleaner, & have been very happy with it. I bought it when it first came onto the market & was in excess of £250. However, I've noticed they have now come down drastically in price, probably because new models have superceeded it.

Have a look on the Vax website as I know they recently had a sale on
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
  • Thanks Cattie, do you think it might be worth waiting until xmas or the January sales?

My current one will do until then if I might be able to find better offers :)

  • Scrap my reply above, I just found the one Cattie suggested on ebay for just £65! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAX-U91-MA-P-Pet-Upright-Bagless-Vacuum-Cleaner-RRP-199-Free-1-Year-Guarantee-/360779885416?_trksid=p2054897.l4275

Ordered and waiting for delivery :)

P.S. That company has 4 left at this price, so if anyone else needs to buy one jump in now before they all go!

I have a Dyson and a Miele cat and dog vacuum, and IMHO the Miele has been the best vac I've ever had, despite the fact that it's not bagless.
You can buy the bags online for about a quid a go.
The Dyson has the looks and build of a Fisher price toy in comparison.

Could you possibly post a link?

Just search on EBay but make sure they're the right model.
    Recently bought 20 for £19.99 incl p&p.
