Can Debt collectors repeatedly call for boyfriends debt?

Hi all, bit of a newbie to laws and processes when it comes to debt so I thought I'd ask on here before I do anything.
Here's the situation:
I live with my boyfriend of 2-3 years, who has debt from before we were together. When we moved in together we looked at all the debt and set up payments for each one(which are dealt with by a debt company) and since then he has never missed a payment. He receives letters all the time trying to get him to pay more, and receives lots of calls on him mobile which isn't such a problem as he doesn't use that phone much so can leave it on silent. When we recently moved we updated our bank details (we have separate accounts only), and I unthinkingly put down our new home phone number, and since then we have been receiving lots of calls trying to get him to pay more and saying he is not paying enough, even though he has an agreement to pay what he can(One of the debts was with the bank he has an account with so I'm sure this is where they got the home number from). Not only am I sick of being harassed for the same thing over and over again – pretty much every day and often more than once a day, but as I am a student I’m often not in, and this is awkward because he works nights and is getting constantly harassed while he is trying to sleep, and I’m not there to get the phone. Can I tell them I don’t want any more calls to my number, is it fair for them to keep harassing me as well?
thanks

I think he can write to them and request that they only contact him by letter or email.Determined to save and not squander!

Hi
He can write to them to say that he wants all future communication to be in writing - template letter here - Harassment by telephone
He could also complain about them harassing him to pay more than he can afford - which is against the OFT debt collection guidelines - UPDATED OFT Guidance on Debt Collection - READ IF YOU ARE BEING HASSLED UNFAIRLYA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks for the advice, I'll look into getting that done right away:)0
