My OH put in an on-line application for his state pension a couple of weeks ago, we have had no acknowledgement, is this usual does anyone know. He will be 65 in January so we are within the right timescales.

He should soon be receiving a letter from the Pension Service (Award Notice and Statement of Details) - he may well also be contacted by HMRC, particularly if he has a COD.
Remind him to check his tax code when he starts to receive his pension.
