I wanna know about Servis Easilogic washing machine

My son is about to move into rented accommodation and previous owner is trying to sell him a Servis EasiLogic 1300RPM washing machine which is apparently less than 6 months old. I am trying to find out how much this might have cost as new. Also is a guarantee transferable for items like this as obviously it still has about 8 months left?

    Which? 24 May 2007
    Washing Machines

Tested 2 Servis 1300 spin machines:

M6003W - "Quiet wash cycle, good cleaning ability, low energy use......but no variable spin speed, poor rinsing,no extra rinse or easy iron program"

M6312 - "Exceptional quick wash results, 7kg drum for larger loads....but easy care wash and rinsing could be better."

Servis overall reliability - "below average"

If you could say how much for, someone might be able to tell you if it was an OK deal.
I did see Argos offering a Servis one for £199 on a TV ad tonight.

The cost is £160 which seems expensive if you can get a new one with 12 month guarantee for £199.
